Does Recordus need an internet connection? +
No. All recording, transcription, and AI processing happens entirely on your device. You can record and transcribe offline. iCloud sync requires a connection, but everything else works without one.
How does the AI transcription work? +
Recordus uses Apple's SpeechAnalyzer framework for on-device transcription. Your audio never leaves your device — it's processed locally using your device's Neural Engine.
What are Smart Summaries? +
Smart Summaries use Apple Foundation Models to analyze your transcripts and generate concise summaries, key points, and action items — all on-device. Great for meetings, lectures, and voice notes.
How do I sync recordings across devices? +
Recordus uses Apple's iCloud to sync your recordings, transcriptions, and settings automatically. Just sign in to the same iCloud account on all your devices.
Can I export my recordings? +
Yes! Export recordings as M4A or WAV audio files, and transcripts as plain text. Share via any app using the standard iOS share sheet.
Does Recordus work on Apple Watch? +
Yes! Record voice memos directly from your wrist. Recordings sync to your iPhone and other devices via iCloud.
How do I get a refund? +
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund for any App Store purchase.
Does Recordus collect any data? +
